According to a Press Release issued today, the NTSB will begin releasing all of its accident investigation public dockets on its website starting June 1, 2009. The Press Release notes that the “effort serves to further bring the Safety Board into compliance with a number of legislative and executive mandates aimed at improving the U.S. government’s use of electronic media to foster a more open and transparent government.”
If you would to access the NTSB’s public dockets, you will need to visit the FOIA Electronic Reading Room on the NTSB website. A link to the list of public dockets may be found here.
