Matthew Motes, Bryan Kelly named to Fort Worth Magazine’s Top Attorneys list
FORT WORTH, Texas – Shackelford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton, LLP, partner Matthew Motes and associate Bryan Kelly have been selected among the leading construction transactions and litigation lawyers in Fort Worth for 2022.
Mr. Motes and Mr. Kelly were honored in the annual “Top Attorneys” edition of Fort Worth Magazine. Attorneys are selected based on peer nominations and a rigorous editorial staff review process.
Mr. Motes has represented general contractors, homebuilders, subcontractors, developers, suppliers, owners, and sureties in real estate and construction litigation for nearly 30 years. He is a frequent speaker and author on construction topics including risk management and contracts. He is a former chair of the Tarrant County Bar Association Construction Law Section and is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, Texas Association of Builders, and the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association. He also serves as president of the Rotary Club of Western Fort Worth.
Mr. Kelly’s construction practice touches all areas of construction law from commercial entities to single-family and large, multifamily residential project clients. He represents corporations, owners, homebuilders, general contractors, subcontractors, and design-team members on issues involving the Residential Construction Liability Act, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act, construction defects, performance bonds, payment bonds, and lien issues. He is the Fort Worth chairperson of the State Bar of Texas’ Young Construction Lawyers Committee.
