Lawdragon Selects Five Shackelford Attorneys Among Next Generation of Legal Leaders
Five Shackelford, McKinley & Norton, LLP attorneys, led by partner Joseph Colvin Jr., have been selected to the inaugural Lawdragon 500 X-Next Generation legal guide. Also honored are Saad Aziz, Watson Bowen, Rebekah Shulman and Artis Ulmer III.
X-Next Generation recognizes the top tier of young attorneys across the county who are at the forefront of the next generation of legal leaders and who will help define the future of the legal profession, according to the Lawdragon research team.
Mr. Colvin earned selection to the prestigious listing in recognition of his fiduciary-based business litigation work involving trustees, directors, officers, employees, partners, members, brokers, shareholders, and agents. He also works regularly on litigation matters involving commercial disputes, non-competition agreements, fraud, trade secrets, contract disputes, bankruptcy, and legal ethics.
Mr. Aziz was selected for his commercial litigation work, including “bet the company” disputes involving allegations of breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and negligence.
Mr. Bowen was honored based on his work with individual and business aviation clients in matters involving regulatory, transactional, tax, dispute resolution, and general liability issues.
Business litigator Ms. Shulman was recognized based on her intellectual property practice, including representing clients before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, as well as advising clients on brand identity and protection.
A former Louisiana state prosecutor, Mr. Ulmer was selected in recognition of his civil litigation work, including insurance coverage.
