Aircraft owners buy insurance to make sure they and their aircraft are covered if they ever have a problem. But just paying the premium for a policy isn’t enough. If an aircraft owner and/or pilot does not comply with the requirements of the insurance policy, the insurer can deny coverage. And that just adds to what is already likely a bad day for the aircraft owner and/or pilot.
