Mr. Tomlinson earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University and his undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University. While in the military, he attended US Air Force Basic Training, Technical Training School, and Officers Candidate School, receiving his Commission upon graduation.
Edward (Bubba) Tomlinson II has been practicing law in Dallas Metro Area since 1971. He has also been the President of Tomlinson-Leis Corporation, a Real Estate Management and Asset Management company since 1880. He has served on bank boards since 1990, being Chairman of Provident Bank from 1996 to 2001 and Chairman of Texas Brand Bank from 2005 to April 2023. He was a partner in a Title Company office for many years. He has 50 years of law practice and business operation experience.
Mr. Tomlinson was a musician with the band “The Galaxies” for 4 years, being ultimately produced and managed by the legendary Bill Lowry and his company from Atlanta, having had a promoted and charted single release on Mercury/Limelight records in 1962. He has continued to show his passion for music by being part owner and Chief Manager of Tom-Leis Music, a Nashville music publishing company. He also had a military career with the Texas National Guard for 14 years, attaining the rank of Captain prior to his Honorable Discharge.
