Law firm welcomes attorneys in Dallas, Houston and Fort Worth
DALLAS – The full-service transactional and litigation law firm Shackelford, McKinley & Norton, LLP has bolstered its real estate litigation and corporate practices across three of its Texas offices.
Joining the Dallas office is real estate partner Tucker Thomas. The firm has also added Fort Worth litigator and corporate attorney Caleb Cook and Houston title litigation attorney Baylee Pearce as associates.
Mr. Thomas provides affordable housing, commercial real estate and general business clients with “stem-to-stern” representation in connection with corporate, residential, mixed use and retails projects, beginning with site selection, following through with due diligence, acquisition, financing and investment sales.
Drawing on his experience as an asset manager for a national real estate development company, his experience includes hundreds of millions of dollars in acquisitions and dispositions, ranging from simple to portfolio-level transactions.
Offering commercial and construction litigation and corporate and real estate and corporate transaction expertise, Mr. Cook represents small startups to Fortune 50 businesses across a wide range of industries.
Prior to law school, he worked in the mortgage banking industry, providing him with a unique perspective on what is needed to facilitate and improve business structures, including negotiating and drafting agreements and operational documents. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he is a former prosecutor for the City of Dallas.
Ms. Pearce’s practice focuses on representing companies and individuals in complex real estate and title litigation. Drawing on a background in the energy industry, she brings a deep understanding of property ownership, probate and estate planning issues which enables her to tailor solutions to each client’s unique needs.
