Mike McKinley is a founding partner in the firm. He focuses his practice on matters involving banking, business, corporate, sports and entertainment and real estate law. His business practice includes clients in the private club and hospitality industries. While his practice for the past 15 years has been primarily focused on transactional matters, Mike draws on over 20 years of litigation experience to assist his clients in matters involving complex negotiations and transactions. He manages the legal needs of many local, regional and national businesses on an ongoing basis and represents a number of financial institutions. Mike was named to the to “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list, published by D Magazine, in Business Law in 2018.
In addition to his professional activities, Mike is active in several civic and charitable organizations, including the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, for which he served as Chairman of the 2013 AT&T Byron Nelson Championship. This tournament is the largest single charitable event on the PGA Tour, having raised over $180 Million to support the educational and mental health needs of thousands of kids and families in the Dallas area. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salesmanship Club Charitable Golf of Dallas, Inc. in 2018-2019 as well as President of the Salesmanship Club in 2020-2021. He also currently serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Northern Texas PGA.
Mike is an active member of St. Andrew Methodist Church and has served in leadership roles in several faith based organizations, including the Dallas Emmaus Community.
