Marianne’s practice focuses on resolving business disputes and uncovering corporate fraud in federal court, state court and in arbitration. She represents businesses, oil and gas companies, banks, real estate investors, trusts, and individuals. She has served as lead attorney on matters ranging from complex breach of contract claims, fraudulent transfers, partnership disputes, banking litigation, breach of fiduciary duties, bank fraud, trade secret violations, employment matters, real estate fraud and other property disputes. She has spent her career successfully participating in jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations, evidentiary hearings, complex summary judgments, and appeals.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Robak also acts as outside general counsel for banks and small to medium-sized businesses throughout Texas assisting them with business transactions, negotiations, contracts and employment issues, as they arise.
Marianne graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in history and a degree in journalism. She attended law school at South Texas College of Law Houston. While in law school, she was selected to join its top-ranked moot court and mock trial teams, where she competed in five national advocacy tournaments. She and her teammates won STCL its 89th national moot court competition after her team presented oral arguments to a panel of justices for the Seventh Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals. Upon graduation, she was asked to join the National Order of the Barristers, which is a prestigious group of trial lawyers throughout the nation.
Marianne serves on the advisory board of Ally Energy, Inc. and is a member of the board of directors for Lean In Network Energy. Both organizations aim to create gender parity in the energy industry. She has participated in panels discussing the importance of equality in the workplace. She is a member of the Nottingham Country Elementary PTA and the Taylor High School PTA where she volunteers on various committees that help improve the school experience for students, teachers and parents. She has been the leader of her daughter’s girl scout troop since 2016.
In her personal time, Marianne enjoys traveling across the U.S., camping, and hiking with her husband and two children. Her family is on a mission to visit all 63 U.S. National Parks.
