Lucas Peterson

Lucas Peterson is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. He works with businesses, investors, and individuals to navigate and resolve complex commercial disputes – from the first sign of conflict through trial and appeal.

Lucas handles a broad spectrum of commercial matters, including disputes involving corporate governance and control, complex transactions, employment issues, trade secret misappropriation, intellectual property infringement, and construction. He has represented clients in diverse industries, including aerospace, commercial real estate, energy, financial services, hospitality, telecommunications, and transportation.

Lucas also represents individuals in shareholder and partnership disputes, as well as fiduciaries and beneficiaries in trusts and estates litigation. With substantial first-chair trial experience, Lucas has successfully advocated for clients in federal and state courts in multiple jurisdictions. He regularly handles and argues critical dispositive motions and issues.

Beyond litigation, Lucas also works with clients to prevent disputes before they start by reviewing, drafting, and clarifying corporate agreements, contracts, and governance documents to minimize risk and protect client interests.
