Sam Long helps individual clients plan for succession of their estates, and the various other contingencies associated with wealth transfer. Regardless of the nature and extent of a client’s wealth, he takes a comprehensive and practical approach tailored to each client’s situation and objectives. It is never a “one size fits all” process. With years of practical and varied experience, Sam also advises and assists clients who have experienced loss in sorting out succession matters with compassion and in all aspects of estate and trust administration.
Sam Long is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and Southern Methodist University and is board certified in both Estate Planning and Probate Law and Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Sam is licensed to practice in both Texas and Tennessee and teaches wills, trusts and estates as an adjunct professor at UNT Dallas College of Law. He has published and presented on both estate planning and tax topics. Sam believes that an effective estate plan starts with understanding a client’s circumstances and objectives, not simply preparing forms. Sam also believes that clients should be educated about their options and plan.
