Nhi worked at Shackelford, McKinley, & Norton LLP as a law clerk during her second and third year of law school before joining the firm as an associate in September 2023. Currently, Nhi is an associate in the firm’s commercial litigation and insurance coverage practice group.
Before joining Shackelford, Nhi interned for Judge Ravi K. Sandill, where she assisted in preparing opinions and orders. During law school, Nhi was an Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy, where she published her Note “Essential yet Exposed: Improving Healthcare Access for Immigrants in the U.S.” as an homage to her immigrant background. Nhi also participated in several extracurricular activities, including the Hippard Novice Mock Trial Competition, Tom Newhouse Mediation Competition, and finally, the University of Houston Law Center’s Consumer and Civil Clinic, where she represented clients in state and JP courts for a variety of matters, including breach of contract, DTPA, and landlord-tenant disputes.
Prior to law school, Nhi received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Houston in 2019, as well as a minor in Spanish.
Nhi enjoys traveling, biking around the bayou, and reviewing the latest spots in the city on Yelp.
