Caryn advises businesses on compliance with federal and state employment laws and employee benefit plan and executive compensation issues, including Title VII, the ADA, ERISA, COBRA, the Fair Labor Standards Act, HIPAA, USERRA, Section 409A compliance, and the ADEA.
Caryn assists employers with all aspects of employment law, including litigation involving employment discrimination, sexual harassment and wage and hour claims. She also counsels clients on discipline and termination decisions, employee handbooks, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation issues, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and other employment agreements. Working with the Firm’s corporate attorneys, Caryn provides advice to businesses who are involved in purchase and sale or merger transactions where employment and benefits questions often arise. Caryn also has extensive experience working with qualified and non-qualified plans, severance agreements, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, welfare plans, and executive compensation arrangements.
