Shackelford, McKinley & Norton founding partner Martha Hardwick Hofmeister has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 Kim Askew Distinguished Service Award from the Dallas Bar Association.
The Kim Askew Distinguished Service Award recognizes a DBA member who, through service to the DBA and to the Dallas community at large, has shown a lasting dedication to good works and promoting good relations among lawyers, the judiciary, and the community.
She also earned the 2024 Jo Anna Moreland Outstanding Committee Chair Award for her continued leadership of the Bar None follies show. The first and only director of the annual fundraiser, Bar None has raised more than $2 million for minority scholarships since 1986.
She is active in numerous professional and community organizations including serving as an officer at the local, district and international levels of Altrusa International, and has been the legal advisor of Altrusa International Foundation for more than 20 years. She also has served as President of the William “Mac” Taylor Inn of Court and is a trustee of the Foundation of the Federal Bar Association. She was the recipient of the 2024 Earl W. Kintner Award for Distinguished Service from the Federal Bar Association.
