Bill Gage has a broad legal practice with a focus on commercial litigation, risk management and sports and entertainment law. Bill has vast experience in international and domestic arbitration before the AAA, ICC, LCIA and ICSID, as well as extensive first chair trial, arbitration, and mediation experience. In Bill’s career, he has had primary responsibility for several thousand matters resolved through jury trial, bench trial, injunction, restraining order, arbitration, mediation, or settlement. Bill is also a certified mediator handling all types of civil disputes.
Some of Bill’s more significant successes involve obtaining a favorable international arbitration award, and collecting that award, against a foreign nation; securing for an MLB player a settlement returning all funds plus interest in an investment fraud; securing a directed verdict in a multi-million dollar contract claim against a corporate client; securing a favorable settlement for, and clearing the name of, former Small Faces band member Ronnie Lane in claims brought by the Texas Attorney General involving the ARMS charity; and securing a summary judgment and fully collecting the multi-million dollar judgment plus interest and fees in a matter involving the exercise of a put option.
Bill has also served many years as a Bank Director, first at First Bancshares of Texas and later Memorial City Bank and in leadership capacities for City of West University and Sewanee.
