Will Parsons has been practicing law since 2007, when he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Will has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation before state and federal courts a cross the country. Will’s practice involves complex litigation matters, with a concentration on entertainment, intellectual property, and business issues.
Will’s experience includes the following:
•Defending multiplatinum recording artists against a claim of copyright infringement in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee;
•Representing multiplatinum recording artists in a departing member dispute filed with the American Arbitration Association;
•Obtaining a default judgment in excess of a million dollarsagainst an alleged record company in an action for fraud and violation of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act;
•Representing a gospel recording artist in a lawsuit filed by his ex-manager alleging breach of contract;
•Representing an underage recording artist and television actor in an action to approve certain contracts pursuant to the Tennessee Protection of Minor Performers Act;
•Acting as co-counsel in successful trial and appellate proceedings in a case involving a claim for anattorney’s lien in excess of $500,000;
•Representing a pro-wrestling organization in a lawsuit alleging breach of contract and disparagement against a former wrestler based upon social media postings;
•Acting as pro bono counsel for indigent clients in courts throughout Davidson County, Tennessee.
