Lauren M. Spahn represents the legal and business interests of recording artists, songwriters, publishers, promoters, producers, managers, agents, executives, major and independent record labels, musicians, television production companies, technology companies, digital media companies, start-ups, networks, banks, and other entertainment industry clients.
Lauren also handles complex transactional and litigation matters related to copyright, trademark and intellectual property law. She has experience managing international trademark portfolios and advises her clients on licensing matters and infringement claims. In addition, Lauren consults with clients on the development of new businesses, and provides advice regarding corporate formation, trademark and intellectual property protection, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, and other related corporate documents. Ms. Spahn holds a Masters in Music Business and Entertainment Industries and Juris Doctor from the University of Miami.
Ms. Spahn currently serves on the Nashville Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Board, where she is a Co-Chair for the Arts Immersion Gala, the Young Professional Board for the T.J. Martell Foundation, and the Young Professional Board for the International Entertainment Buyer’s Association (I.E.B.A.). She also serves as Legal Counsel for the Women in Music Business Association. Lauren is also a voting member of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences and the Country Music Association and is a member of the Leadership Music Class of 2019.
