John Cameron Stevenson believes the most effective family lawyers have experience in legal areas that complement work in the family courts.
John handles complicated family law matters, including all aspects of divorce, grandparent rights, child custody disputes, child support negotiation, enforcements suits, paternity suits, adoptions, and premarital agreements. His goal is to help his clients achieve a positive outcome for their families during what can be one of the most difficult times of their lives.
Over the years, he has also gained knowledge in appellate law, civil litigation, commercial litigation, probate, criminal law and mediation. These are areas that help him to find innovative, effective, and practical solutions to family law issues.
John is a 2003 graduate from Southwestern University with a double major in History and Communications. In 2006, he graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Since passing the Texas Bar Exam in 2006, he has been a sole practitioner in Dallas-Fort Worth.
He has appeared before appellate courts in Dallas, Fort Worth, Eastland, Tyler, and Waco. He has also brought original proceedings in the state appellate courts. John has drafted wills, probated wills, brought determinations of heirship, and been appointed as attorney ad litem representing unknown heirs. He has also dealt with property disputes that arose out of the death of a family member.<
His legal research skills and detailed analysis allow him to bring the strongest cases before the courts.
