Jackie Wilhite is an Associate within the Houston office of Shackelford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton, LLP. Jackie’s practice focuses primarily on broad business transactional matters with an emphasis on commercial real estate, leasing, development, title matters, corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, finance, and commercial transactions. Jackie helps companies and entrepreneurs reach their goals, whether it be growing their business or protecting their financial interests.
Jackie Wilhite earned her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of North Texas before attending South Texas College of Law as a recipient of an academic merit scholarship. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for having the highest grade in multiple classes. Jackie served as a board member and associate editor for the Journal of International Economic Law in 2016-2017. While in law school, Jackie maintained several notable legal internships, including The 14th Court of Appeals, The 1st Court of Appeals, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a national pipeline company, and two national law firms. Jackie also dedicated many hours volunteering with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. In addition, Jackie served as an adjunct professor at South Texas College of Law.
